Arthur D. Curtis Endorsement:I endorse Tony Golik for Clark County Prosecutor because he is the most qualified candidate. I trust Tony to take over my position in the office; a position that I have held over the past 30 years. Tony Golik has the experience, leadership skills and dedication necessary to lead this office in the future. Retired Judge Robert L. Harris writes a letter to the Editor of the Columbian: Tony Golik for ProsecutorI’ve served as a Deputy Prosecutor and Judge for 50 years in Clark County. I’m familiar with prosecutors and attorneys all over this State, and what it takes to lead as a Prosecutor. I’m also personally familiar with Golik’s superior courtroom abilities, integrity with the judiciary, protection of victims, and possessing the skills necessary to be our Prosecutor. He has the support of law enforcement. His opponent has not demonstrated any of those skills in the Courts of Clark County necessary to lead in that position. I wholly support Golik for Clark County Prosecutor for Clark County. Robert L. Harris, Vancouver, WA Unanimous Vancouver Police Officers’ Endorsement:In discussing the endorsement of this office our membership focused on our belief that the next Prosecuting Attorney for Clark County should be an attorney with direct criminal prosecution experience. We believe that the next Prosecuting Attorney should have a direct working knowledge of the criminal justice system in Clark County. We believe Tony Golik is the only candidate with the experience necessary to champion the work that our members do every day. It is because of this experience that we voted unanimously to endorse Tony’s candidacy for Clark County Prosecuting Attorney. Vancouver Fire Fighters’ Endorsement:The Vancouver Fire Fighters’ voted to endorse Tony Golik for Clark County Prosecutor. The Fire Fighters have endorsed Tony because he is clearly the most qualified candidate for the job. Tony’s impressive record of prosecuting the most serious crimes in Clark County and the support he has received from his peers made our decision to endorse Tony easy. We take public safety seriously and Tony is the clear choice to keep our community safe. We urge voters to join us in supporting Tony Golik for Clark County Prosecutor. Endorsement letter by Kim Farr:(Kim Farr served as the lead of the Children’s Justice Center for over twenty years. He is responsible for leading a unit that has brought thousands of sex offenders to justice.) After more than 30 years inside the Clark County Prosecutors office, and now with the perspective of being outside the office, it is an inescapable truth that Tony Golik is the best candidate to lead the Prosecutor’s office into a new era for the citizens of Clark County. Tony is not only one of the office’s best attorneys, but he also has a new and clear vision, a new direction, to bring justice to those who suffer crimes, and fair swift punishment to those who commit crimes. Tony Golik also has the backing of the other Prosecutors and the support staff in his desire to change the paradigm of prosecution with a focus on the serious and repeat offenders which terrorize our children and communities. I support Tony Golik in this goal and in his effort to make a better Prosecutors Office for the citizens of Clark County. I urge others to review all the candidates, and trust they will come to the same conclusion: Tony Golik is the best candidate for Clark County Prosecuting Attorney in 2010. Jim Senescu, Former Spokane/Clark County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and Current Partner of “Dimitrov & Senescu, PLLC”As a former major crimes deputy prosecutor alongside Tony Golik and a colleague and friend for the past 10 years, I wholeheartedly support Tony as our next Prosecuting Attorney. My emphasis for my entire legal career has been fighting for the rights of domestic violence victims, child abuse victims and vulnerable adults. I know first hand that Tony has a 100% commitment to fighting crime in these areas. As a current civil attorney and Clark County resident, I urge everyone to support a true “crime fighter” for our Prosecutor. Tony has consistently shown to be fair, committed and steadfast in combating crime and making our community safe. Jeffrey D. Barrar P.S. Vancouver Defenders:As the founder and head of the largest indigent defense law firm in Clark County I strongly urge you to join me in supporting Tony Golik’s candidacy for Clark County Prosecutor. Tony possesses the unique combination of experience, leadership, and dedication that would serve the citizens of Clark County well for the coming generations.I pledge my support with confidence because I have handled numerous cases with Tony over the last ten years. Those cases have included aggravated murder, assaults, robberies, and kidnapping. Throughout all of them Tony was fair, aggressive, and well prepared. He has great respect for the rule of law, compassion for the victims, and the respect of law enforcement and judges. The La Center and Ridgefield Police Officers Associations:The La Center and Ridgefield Police Officers Associations are proud to announce that we strongly support and endorse Tony Golik for Clark County Prosecutor. We evaluated all of the candidates and have determined that Mr. Golik’s experience, open communication with our agencies and his proven track record in the court room, justify our support. We look forward to working with Mr. Golik to ensure effective law enforcement for the citizens of Clark County. Crime Victims United“Tony Golik has prosecuted some of the most difficult and violent cases in Clark County. Crime Victims United knows Tony Golik’s history of successfully fighting for and protecting the rights of crime victims. Crime Victims United believes that Tony Golik is the obvious choice to be Clark County’s next Prosecuting Attorney.” – Steve Doell, President, Crime Victims United. Top Endorsement by Columbian Newspaper:“Ask those who work in the prosecuting attorney’s office, and those who most often come in contact with that office, and the clear favorite is Golik, who has prosecuted many high-profile criminal cases since he moved here 10 years ago. Prior to that, Golik was a major crimes prosecutor in Spokane. Indeed, it’s difficult to overstate the value of Golik’s endorsements. Not only have his fellow deputy prosecutors tabbed him as their top choice, he’s been endorsed by Vancouver police officers, Clark County sheriff’s officers and police officers in five other cities in Clark County.” http://www.columbian.com/news/2010/jul/22/golik-boger/ |
